Dr David Johnston - The new executive vice president of global laboratory services at Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD)
Singapore: Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD) has appointed Dr David Johnston as executive vice president of global laboratory services.
Dr Johnston is to direct PPD's laboratory services, including bioanalytical, vaccines and biologics, current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) and central laboratories.
“David brings extensive leadership experience as well as scientific, medical and operational expertise,†said Mr William Sharbaugh, chief operating officer, PPD.
“As pharmaceutical companies seek to increase productivity and reduce clinical development expense, I am confident David will help us drive innovative strategies as we continue integrating laboratory services with our phase I-IV offerings to provide clients end-to-end value-chain capabilities,†he added.
